Kirkuk, a gate to peace or war

Kirkuk is a city which has a long history in richness, conflict, and struggle. During the past times and even now, it faces many crises. In a word can say, Kirkuk is a troublesome city. About the main causes of this status there are many facts. This city is important for its energy field, strategic location, national identity, and an opened problem. Recently this city had taken another role which is more economical- political. After Iraq freedom operation in 2003, the scope of the city had been more sensitive. It became as the crises point between Kurds and Arabs and other Iraqi sides. Kirkuk for Kurds means defense country, nation, and honorable history. In other hands other Iraqi sides Kirkuk is known as the border of Arabian Honor and Arabic unite country. These two opposite views made legal, constitutional and regional troubles for both Erbil and Baghdad authority. In spite of political problems, there are many other matters which belong to the economic fields. As most of the experts believe that petrol is the center of the crises, it seems to be true. Kurdistan region in Iraq had passed many succeed stages about security, political, economy and then international process. So the Kurd's against in from any where cannot agree with more development. International seek doesn’t allow these oppositions to attack Kurds by any where. So now, they try to stop this development hardly. They think that Kirkuk can be used as an encouragement for the Kurds to be state. They are obliged by their surrounding to shut the Kurds voice to call "Kirkuk is a Kurdish City" In other side, Kirkuk for Kurds is the end line and nothing can be changed by it. Outside the Iraq, states, governments and some of parties which were known as "Kurds Friend" is not "Friend" with Kurds in Kirkuk. Neighbor countries are divided by two parts. Iran, Syria, Turkey never been agree to this reality that Kirkuk is a part of Kurdistan historically. Second part which are from Arab countries call Kurdistan region as "a part of Iraq" and Iraq is one of Arabic countries which are called "United" so according to them, Kirkuk is an Iraqi – Arabian city indirectly. Here, Kurds in Iraq hasn’t any logical chance to be free to decide about Kirkuk. About international reactions also there are some other different views. American and Russia as two different global decision makers in the world don’t like to take part in these cries. Firstly, United States which is related to all of the Iraqi political parts hasn’t a clear view and reaction. It refers to its fixed role in Iraq that: "should be same to all". So U.S didn’t take any role and it worries Kurds and Arabs at all. But it seems that U.S has a paradoxical role about Kirkuk and uses it as a temporal tool for its political purposes. But Russia has in struggle with political matters especially those problems which belong to U.S and American acts in the Eastern Europe area. Kurdistan region government acts according to the Iraqi Constitution which is voted by Iraqi people. This decision by Kurds authorities in Erbil has more chances to be succeeded. Because no one even the enemies can refuse this legal right to Kurds that just Kirkuk people have the right to decide on their political field.
